So so so good.

This is, I think, my favorite live recording of “Old College Try”, an excellent Mountain Goats song from their excellent album Tallahassee. Listen to the bass. Especially at the very end. It’s superb.

1. Craig Finn is adorable.
2. This song has never sounded better or been more rocking.
3. I just realized that nyctaper made a recording of this whole show.

A bunch of my friends at the Mountain Goats forums made a compilation album of covers of tMG songs. I designed the cover and made the mini-site. They did a fantastic job and I’m really proud of the end product. Check it out!
