Cutaway or get out of my way via TBS.
Here’s the thing: I can’t stand cutaway collars. I’m generally a very agreeable guy as far as men’s clothing is concerned, but I just hate these things. If your neck is normal-sized, a cutaway collar makes it look abnormally fat. If your neck is skinny it just draws attention to your skinny neck. Don’t even try wearing one of these babies with a fat neck. Plus, they’re completely incompatible with my favorite sartorial accessory, the collar bar. People love cutaway collars, but I sure don’t know why.

I watched this movie, The Long Good Friday, on New Year’s Eve. Apparently lots of people consider it one of the best gangster films ever made…? It was indeed a pretty good film. Bob Hoskins’ Cockney accent—and the whole story itself—was pretty hard to follow at times, but it’s the kind of thing that grows on you. I’m watching a “making of” documentary on YouTube right now and I now appreciate it even more.
